AutoRust® Warrior Installation Guide

The AutoRust® Warrior is a state-of-the-art electronic rust protection module designed to shield your vehicle's metal components from corrosion. This guide provides detailed, easy-to-follow instructions to ensure a successful installation and wiring process. Proper installation is crucial for maximum performance and long-term protection.

🛠️ Tools You’ll Need:

  • Auto Rust Warrior module
  • Wiring harness (included)
  • Power drill and bits
  • Screwdriver set
  • Multimeter (optional)
  • Cleaning cloth
  • Zip ties & mounting screws
Installation: step1 engine bay

Open your hood and make sure your vehicle is parked on a flat, stable surface. Remove the AutoRust® Warrior module from its packaging and inspect it for any damage.

Tip: Make sure your vehicle is turned off before starting any electrical connections to avoid shorts or sparks.

Complete installation of Auto Rust warrior module
  • Select a dry, secure location in your vehicle, ideally close to the battery.
  • Avoid areas with excessive moisture or heat.
  • Clean the surface with a cloth to ensure a strong mounting bond.

This ensures the module works efficiently and lasts longer. Common mounting spots include near the strut tower or on a flat metal surface inside the engine bay.

Trimming wires for crimping
  1. Use the wire stripper to remove a small section of insulation from the grey wire.
  2. Attach the metal clip using your crimper.
  • Ground the grey wire securely to your vehicle’s metal structure. Good grounding is essential for optimal rust prevention. Typical grounding points include:

    Strut towers

    Chassis bolts

    Engine mounts

💡 Pro Tip: Ensure the contact area is clean metal (free from paint or rust) for the best connection.

Securing wires to the vehicle body

Connect (ground) the grey wire to the vehicle’s metal structure. Ensure it makes good contact with bare metal to guarantee proper operation of the AutoRust® module. For example, strut tower bolts can be used as grounding points.

Wiring clips
  • Identify your vehicle's negative and positive battery terminals.
  • Follow the wiring diagram to connect the red (+) wire to the positive terminal and the black (-) wire to the negative terminal.
  • Double-check all connections using a multimeter.

Blue flashing light 🔵 = electrodes active
Red solid light 🔴 = module powered

⚠️ Warning: Double-check connections to prevent loose wires, which can affect module performance.

Once all wires are properly connected, the blue LED on the module will flash, indicating that the electrodes are active, while the red LED will remain solid, showing it is receiving power.

Step 5: Secure Loose wires

Use zip ties to tidy up loose wires. Avoid tight bends – gentle curves reduce strain and improve durability.
